Hello, beautiful people. Welcome back to another episode of Digital Activism. Boy, has it been a while. I know. The last episode was with Mikey and we did that sometime later last year. I want to say like October. And I said I was going to be back and then I wasn't. I lied. So sorry. But now we're back.
We are in the new studio space. So I'm going to explain that and why this took so long. So to go back to the very end of December, I was up late couldn't sleep shocker and I had this idea that I wanted to find a space or into filming a space that was completely different than my bedroom because I could not stay motivated to work or edit or film
So I texted my friend Lily at 2 a.m. and I said, hey, what if I asked if we can use the extra office space upstairs for a filming studio? She liked the idea. I think she regrets it now, but she said yes to the idea. ever since like literally right before New Year, we have been planning it.
So first we got the okay, then we had to clean it, then we had to move stuff out, then we had to clean it again, and then we had to put stuff on the walls, then we had to clean it again, and then we had to put this desk together, and by we I mean mostly Lily, ⁓ and occasionally her boyfriend, even though she won't admit it, and then had to clean again one final time, and now we are finally here.
I have recorded one other podcast in the space for someone else's podcast. But this is the first one I'm doing here. But then during this whole process, we were planning content ideas. So Lily is acting as like, not only a co-host of the other podcast, which I'll talk more about at a different time, but also the producer of this podcast and also helping me film my content.
because I need to be more consistent and I help filming a lot of my stuff and ⁓ she volunteered to do it in exchange for coffee and free products
So nobody like my content for a little bit please.
She agreed to be producer for this podcast as well as helping me film my content and with the hopes of it becoming more consistent and something beyond what it is now because I feel like over the last year, it has grown and it has potential to keep growing if we remain and I remain consistent. So here we are again and I wanna give a little update of...
what the plan is going forward. So like I said, we're in this space, we're filming two podcasts in this area and also any of my content that I can in here.
So now that we're in the space and have it completely done, we're officially recording in here. So the plan is to film like a batch of
digital activism at once over the next couple of weeks and release them weekly so that way I'm not having to, you know, find a guest and come up here and record and edit and get it all out within a week when we're also starting to record another podcast plus the other content. And so the idea is I have a few people lined up for the podcast. I had, I don't know, eight or 10 interested and a few of those lined up over the next month.
This episode will be released sooner rather than later, but over time these will be recorded in a batch and released consistently. There may be some solo episodes mixed in giving life updates and such. This episode and the next one more than likely will be solo and after that hopefully guests will start appearing and yeah I am very excited for...
the consistency and this podcast to be back. And now that it is no longer a school or college project, I have freedom to do anything I want with it. And that is exciting to me. I feel much more ⁓ creative when I have full control and no guidelines of what this podcast has to be.
the background and everything may also change over time. We are balling here on a budget and we're doing what we can and we will be making upgrades as we go on. And yeah, you will be seeing Lily in a lot more content of mine on social media or other podcasts and in the background of this one. Probably crocheting, let's be honest, because she is a grandma.
With that being said, now that we're filming, I still, like I said, do want to do solo episodes. So if there's any topics you want to hear me talk about or anything like that, let me know. I know a lot of people were interested in my experience in school from elementary all the way through college. I've done a little bit of that, never finished that, I guess, mini series on the podcast. So if you're interested, I can keep doing that. And yeah, let me know what you want to hear again.
This is hopefully weekly. Not hopefully, we are. I'm gonna remain consistent. This will be weekly. Again, this episode released a little bit earlier than the rest, and then I will announce on social media actually whenever the first release date is and when everything's going through.
